The "Hate America" crowd never fails to amaze me. And I'm not saying that only people who are foreigners are America-haters. We've got a lot of that hate crowd here as both natural and naturalized citizens. Please don't preach to me about the ills of slavery or of religious/social intolerance. I'm quite capable of understanding and recognizing them for what they have been, and what they are.
By the same token, let's not forget that we who are here now, and even those who's ancestry can be traced back to before the revolution, ultimately are not indigenous, ancestrally, to this continent. The hatred and evils you so desperately want to ascribe to America were brought, lock stock and barrel, from Europe. Let's also not forget the role which African tribal leaders played in selling their own people into bondage and slavery. There is a saying: it takes two to tango.
What's funny is how hypocritical and disingenuous some of you folks are. I point out how I don't celebrate certain holidays but respect the holidays because I respect those who celebrate them, and Justin Long's Mac character points out what ills his platform doesn't suffer, and you call us arrogant and hateful people. We're telling the truth (and a rather positive one at that) and all you can do is respond to us with disrespect and vituperative hatred! You accuse us of being intolerant, and yet you practice the very same intolerance you accuse us of!

I work in a culturally and theologically diverse workplace, yet you won't see even so much as one second of me trying to push my views (religious or otherwise) on other people, but somehow since I'm a Christian (actually, I'm a Missouri-Synod Lutheran protestant) I'm a scourge upon humanity. Talk about intolerance.

Yeah, you have to be a pretty awful businessman to take a business that takes money from a lot of people and gives money back to only a small number of people into bankruptcy 3 times. I don't believe that either nail it on the head. While they're both a vast improvement, the proposals still need a little work in my view.

Um, no it doesn't Fuji S1, S2, S3 RAW Files are not supported. This camera is used by more wedding photographers than any other.

So, I picked one up the other day. Trying to find the "sweet spot" is really annoying. I'm assuming your supposed to keep adjusting the 3DS and your head until you don't see two images anymore, and that's the so-called sweet spot?
Honestly, I don't really see that much of a difference. There's a little more depth to with 3D effect (but it's not in your face like a 3D ride at Disney World or like Avatar where stuff was floating in the air). The AR games are neat except they require a cardboard card (Really Nintendo? Wasn't this idea a huge failure with Animal Crossing e-Reader on the GameCube?)
Pilotwings is also pretty terrible. I can't wait for the Virtual Console to launch. I'm glad Super Mario Land will be a launch title. Hopefully, Nintendo will iron out the 3DS kinks in time.

I think the biggest problem here is that she's AT WORK. A friend of mine who's a professional waiter/bartender used to have a problem with a female patron who would basically come into his bar every night and stalk him. He HAD to serve her; that was his job. But she made it very difficult for him by hitting on him, grabbing his butt, stuff like that.
I'm not saying you've done anything like that, but the point is that when someone is at work, they're supposed to be working. They have to show just the proper amount of friendliness required for them to do their job effectively, without it becoming a social / "hey, what are you doing later on?" type situation.
My advice to you: Let this one go.

I challenge both points, pedantically and pragmatically. Canada is no more a "democracy" than the US, though perhaps slightly less messed up. If it was, you would not be able to brazenly put forth the second assertion. In a real democracy, there are no winners. Debate results in compromise. Compromise leaves everyone disappointed but (usually) sanguine, because those other guys are also comparably disappointed.
The idea that we should have winners and losers is one of the biggest problems facing the US political system. The rollercoaster ride has been pushing the whole country apart from the inside. Failure is inevitable.
Stop projecting the problems that you have with the US political system onto the Canadian one. Elections are contests and the participants either win or lose but the governing party is supposed to govern for the benefit of all citizens. We have more that two parties here and sometimes the opposition parties change positions.
We have had situations where the there was a liberal majority with the bloc as the official opposition and the PC (Progressive Conservatives) nearly wiped out and the NDP as the third party.
Now we have a conservative majority with and NDP opposition (second party) and the Liberals in the third party position. The Bloc are not without party status and there is one green party member.
It seems to me that you are only happy if the people/parties that you like are winning even if they have a super majority. That is hypocrisy at its worst.
I did not like it when the Liberals had a majority and forced through legislation without debate but I grinned and bore it because I understood that we live in a democracy and that we do not always get what we personally want when the people have spoken.
Part of the problem that I see with both the NDP and Liberals is that they are too concerned with special interests rather than ordinary Canadians. They pay lip service about being for the common man but the common man voted conservative because they understand that budgets have to be balanced in households so it should be the same with the government. People in their own homes cannot continue to borrow and spend more money than they have coming in so it seems logical to most hard working tax payers that the government should be held to a similar standard. I think it is foolish to mortgage future generations with out of control spending on social programs since those that follow us will have to pay for it and might not have the same social programs to depend on if the overspending continues.

I thought they were committed to Thunderbolt and ignoring USB 3.0

YES this connector has USB3, it also has USB2, Thunderbolt and a pretty white cable too.
What people fail to realise is that if you own a current gen/future Mac you can use the thunderbolt part of the connection, if you own an older version then it will use the USB2 part. OR if you are using a USB3 compatible PC then you can use their USB3 connection.
Its actually a quite clever design and means that the iProducts 30pin connector can be relevant for many more years to come.
I wish people would actually think before they post sometimes.

Duff-Man says....this comes up in here time and time again. The disks and OS that shipped with your G5 are for *that* computer only. OS X is a *single computer* license - having a copy with your G5 does not give you the right to install on any other computer you may have around. A quick look at your license agreement will tell you that.
If you want 10.3 on that machine you have to buy a copy - those "proof of purchase" are meaningless. The only discount you may get is if you are entitled to educational prices.
Now, having said all that....what you may want to do is just wait until 10.4 comes out and then purchase a "Family Pack" license - for not much more than a single copy you are entitled to install on up to 5 computers in the same houisehold (non-commercial use only)...have a look at Apple's website for more details......oh yeah!
